Application

There is one grant cycle each year.

Grant Cycle: Grant requests will be accepted October 1st – October 31st, funding will be awarded by December 31st if the request is approved.

The Process:

1. Submit completed Grant Request during the open grant cycle.
2. Grant request will be reviewed and by approved, denied, or returned for resubmission.
3. If request is approved a grant agreement will be sent along with a check to the awardee.
4. Awardee is responsible for furnishing a closing Grant Report within 1 year of being awarded their grant. This report will be reviewed and either approved or returned for resubmission.

Review of Requests:

• No grant or possibility of grant shall be reviewed or approved/denied without a Grant Request on file from the requesting organization.
• Priority will be given to requests that have matching funds from some other source contributing to their project.
• Priority will be given to requests that directly affect the 9-county service area of the Eastern Area Health Education Center which includes the following West Virginia counties: Jefferson, Berkeley, Morgan, Hampshire, Grant, Hardy, Tucker, Pendleton, and Mineral.

2018 Harpers Ferry Half Marathon, 5K Run, and Kids Run will be held May the 19th 2018! The Half Marathon is a challenging and hilly course covering the expanse on Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and the Civil War era towns connecting them. Expansive views of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers, a loop through Harpers Ferry National Historical Park School House Ridge South, Murphy Farm, Lower Town Harpers Ferry, John Brown's Fort, Bolivar, Storer College,and the homes taking you back to the 1860's . Our 5K event is a mix of trail and includes a loop of the School House Ridge South portion of the Harpers Ferry National Park. And our Kids Event will be on site at River Riders and School House Ridge South.
